For nonprofits
More hands.
Less work for your team.
With Good Humans brings small groups together for meaningful volunteer experiences across Chicago.
We handle the people, planning, reminders, and group logistics. You tell us what would be helpful, and we'll figure out how to make it happen together.
Why work with us?
- Get help without hosting another event We especially love projects we can facilitate ourselves, so your staff does not have to supervise a group from start to finish.
- Turn a need into something people want to show up for You do not need a volunteer activity ready to go. Tell us what your organization needs help with and we can brainstorm the experience together. The more creative, hands-on, or unexpected, the better.
- Find new volunteers. Give past volunteers a reason to come back. We can introduce new people to your mission or help re-engage volunteers who have not returned. By making volunteering more social and easier to show up for, we give people another reason to stay involved while handling most of the logistics.
- We may even come with a little extra Participants make a small donation when they confirm their spot to show their commitment. Neither With Good Humans nor Every.org takes a cut.

Our sweet spot
We generally look for activities that:
- Take about 60 to 90 minutes of hands-on work. Within a two-hour visit, so the group has time to talk as well.
- Work well for a small group. Five to seven people is our sweet spot.
- Have a clear, useful outcome. Other than the activities, what can $20, $50, $100, or even $250 do for your organization?
- Need little or no staff supervision. You work hard already, so we don't want to add to your load.
- Can happen somewhere other than your location. This way, events can happen outside your normal hours of operation.
- Come with an Every.org profile. That is how donations reach you. Claiming one is free and takes a few minutes.
- Give people the chance to work alongside one another. People do not have to work together every minute. Projects can include individual or separate tasks, as long as there are natural opportunities for the group to connect along the way.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to have a volunteer activity already planned?
No. In fact, we would love to brainstorm with you.
Tell us what needs doing, what would make your team's life easier, or what you wish volunteers could help with. We can work backward from there to create something useful and engaging.
Does someone from our organization need to be there?
Ideally not for the full experience. We look for projects we can facilitate ourselves after getting the instructions and context we need from your team.
Does the activity have to happen at our location?
No. If we can take the project to a community space, park, office, or another location, even better.
Does everyone need to work on the same thing?
No. We prefer activities that give people a chance to interact and work alongside each other, but that does not mean everyone has to do the same task at the same time.
What do you need from us?
Usually just a little collaboration up front: what would be useful, any requirements or limitations, why the work matters, and how the finished work gets where it needs to go.
We handle the participant logistics from there.
How do donations work?
Participants donate when they confirm their spot.
To receive those donations, your organization needs to claim its nonprofit profile on Every.org. Every.org does not charge nonprofits a platform fee or take a cut, although third-party processing fees may apply for some payment methods.
We do not take any portion either.
