Who this is for

People looking for community

You're looking for your people

  • New to Chicago
  • Your friend group is busy or has changed
  • You have acquaintances you want to get to know better

You want to volunteer, but don't have time to organize it

  • Getting started is overwhelming
  • Going alone feels awkward
  • You want it on your calendar, not on your to-do list

How it works

Three steps. That's it.

Tell us what you're looking for

What neighborhoods you frequent. When you're free. What your non-negotiables are.

We find good humans nearby

We do our best to match you based on factors like location, schedule, and general preferences.

Show up

Show up ready to meet good people and be part of a community.

Your invitation

Your group is ready.

Thanks for confirming your availability and location. Please RSVP as soon as possible since spots are limited.

Mon, Sept 14 at 5:30 PM
River North
Make 80 sandwiches and lunch sacks for Dignity Diner
Your $20 goes to feeding families

After, we'll learn more about each other over a little indoor golf. No experience necessary (thank goodness!)

We'll send the exact location after you RSVP.

Need to cancel? Tell us 48 hours ahead and you can join another event within 30 days. Your donation stays with the nonprofit.

Once we find you a group, we confirm your availability and offer nearby locations. The more times you can make, the better.

Then we send an invitation with all the details. Which nonprofit it's for, what we're doing, and what the donation is for. No endless swiping or countless decisions to make.

Just tell us if you can make it.

Once you RSVP, we send you the exact location and a bit about the people joining you. Think of it like a series of pop-up events with good people doing things that make a real difference.

What happens after you sign up

Instead of a calendar of events to pick from, you'll get one invitation. It's based on the neighborhoods you frequent, when you're free, and what you told us you want.

Allergic to cats? Would rather get a root canal than work with kids? We keep your non-negotiables in mind. Please keep an open mind for the rest.

Some people hear from us in days. Others take longer. You'll hear from a real person either way.

Can't make any of these? No problem, we'll catch you next time. We send a limited number of invitations, so keeping your schedule up to date helps us send you ones you can actually make.

At the event

Most events are a couple of hours of volunteering. Sometimes we end with another activity, like a round of indoor golf or a quick bite nearby. Other times it's built in, like making toys for a shelter at a local restaurant. Either way, we have time to get to know each other.

After, we ask everyone how it went with the people they met. It's anonymous, and it helps us build better groups for you. The more you come, the more familiar faces you'll see.

Why we ask you to donate

We plan the whole thing. The group, the nonprofit, the day. Your $20 goes to the nonprofit hosting you, and your RSVP holds your place, so everyone knows who's coming.

Together we can do more than show up. We can help feed more families, buy equipment a nonprofit badly needs, or sponsor kennels at a shelter. Each invitation explains what your donation helps that nonprofit provide.

Find your people

Why this exists

Making friends as adults doesn't have to be rocket science.

My calendar was always full. Meeting people was never the problem. Chicago is big and there's always something to do.

I didn't need more people to meet. I needed people to count on.

Once I found my people, good days were much sweeter, and bad days were much easier. So I built something to help others find theirs. I hope you join us!
